Michael Butler
Resident Chaplain
Michael Butler earned his BA in Christian Studies from Ouachita Baptist University in 2016. Prior to coming to Baylor, he lived in the Middle East for five years teaching English as a foreign language. His wife Julia is a Baylor and Truett graduate, and a year after getting married, they made the decision to move to Waco so that Michael could pursue a joint MDiv/MSW degree. They both have a passion for church ministry and working with refugees and hope to eventually move back to the Middle East. Michael is now serving as the Resident Chaplain for the LEAD LLC.
