Traditions
Acts 2:42 Nights
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." Acts 2:42, ESV
Each Wednesday evening at 7 PM, the community gathers together and participates in Acts 2:42 Nights. These events vary weekly including worship nights, all hall-karaoke experiences, faculty-led discussions or panels, service projects, painting parties, Capture the Flag, and much more!
Homecoming
Every year, all LEAD LLC students have the unique opportunity to walk in the Baylor Homecoming Parade with fellow residents.
Friendsgiving
In addition to preparing Thanksgiving meals for the community, we celebrate together! Residents, student leaders, and professional staff members come together to celebrate the holiday and give thanks for our community.
Deck the Halls
Sometime right before or after Thanksgiving Break, our students decorate each lobby with both handmade and store-bought Christmas items! While "decking the halls," we also sip on hot cocoa or cider and eat Christmas-themed treats.
Football Tailgate
During football season, LEAD LLC hosts a tailgate with poster-making, face paint, food, and games!
Semi-Formal
Our students and student leaders work hard and they play hard. Every fall, they coordinate a themed dance party full of music, games, and more. Past themes have included "Through the Decades," "Fairytale," and "Safari."
Formal & LEAD Awards
Each spring, our annual Formal & LEAD Awards provide a special opportunity to celebrate the year and honor one another. Students dress to impress, enjoy an evening of food and fellowship, and take part in the excitement as awards—voted on by their peers—are presented. It’s a night dedicated to recognizing the contributions and achievements that make our community so special.
